As most of you know, I love food and fully endorse excessive binge eating. In fact, it's one of my favorite past times. So, you can all imagine how excited I was for this past weekend when the Bite of Seattle made its annual appearance. Food upon food upon food upon food. My heaven. Started in 1982, the Bite takes over the Seattle Center with food vendors, beer gardens, food making demonstrations, and live music. This year there were over 50 vendors from various restaurants and over 30 food-product companies featured. Everything from deep fried lasagna, dim sum, to chocolate covered strawberries on stick, it truly is a food lovers paradise. My all time favorites are: the warm doughy piroshkis. freshly made mango lemonade, garlic fries, and ALLIGATOR ON STICK (see my first picture for reference). It has the texture and taste very similar to chicken and is utterly delicious! I'm already counting down the days (365 to be exact) until next time. Until then, I will be doing daily exercises to stretch my stomach (bigger stomach= more food to consume...totally rational, right?)
I recently bought this shirt from Forever. I've been a loyal fan of floral and heart print. It's literally the only prints I own, but decided to venture out with this shirt. I love the palm trees and the contrasting blue down the middle and collar. It makes me feel like I'm in Miami or California (I'm seriously palm tree deprived living in Seattle. It's so sad). I paired the shirt with a white beaded necklace that pops against the blue and green of the blouse. These are my go-to summer bottoms. I love the lighter wash and the distressed look. The shorts are high waisted, which was perfect for my binge eating filled weekend (keeps everything in place, if you know what I mean).
