Dress: Solemio Bandeau: Wet Seal
Shoes: Anne Michelle Necklace: Forever 21
I bought this dress awhile back and just haven't found the proper occasion to wear it. So, I did what all loving girlfriends do and made my boyfriend take me out to a fancy restaurant. Every girl needs an excuse to dress up and getting a delicious meal at the same time sounds like win-win for me!
We went to a steakhouse called El Gaucho located near Downtown Seattle. I don't consider myself much of steak girl, but I must admit that there is something tantalizing about their filet mignon topped with lobster medallions smothered in bearnaise sauce (sorry vegetarians). Besides the high quality food, the atmosphere is my favorite aspect of the restaurant. Think Great Gatsby/classic 1920's. Dim and windowless, there's a live pianist, and a cigar room (whoa, cue the men in pin stripe suites sipping whiskey).
I love the high/low hemline and how flowy the dress is. The back is quite low and having a visible bra seemed a bit too unclassy for a Great Gatsby-esque evening, so I wore a black bandeau underneath. I love the colors of the dress with the bold stripes. As I've stated before, this style of heel is my favorite. Chic and versatile, this style is a staple for every woman's closet! Seriously. Go buy yourself a pair. I promise you won't regret it (in fact, you will probably go buy one in every color). A girl can never have too many heels though, right?
